• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone found a usb with switch to fit 2021 dash hole?

Great idea, but this one is kinda big at 2" x 2.63" for that area. That speaker cover has vent slots in it to allow for ventilation. Probably better off finding a different area on the Spyder. Maybe under the dash, drilling a small hole for the wires and also will help waterproofing where it's facing down. Just saying. :) Thank you for the info on this. :2thumbs: I think I will order one to run my GoPro camera from.

That's a nice product but has no on/off switch.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Dual USB Charger for RT 2010-2019 and ST 2013-2016 (Blue LED)

This is a nice alternative to getting all your electronics charged while riding. It's a perfect fit in one of those available slots just beneath the steering wheel. Install in about 45 minutes if you take your time, you can actually just use the wiring behind the dashboard. Not recommended for a direct battery hook up because with the LED light always on it will bring down the battery. You're better off with the power coming on with a key activate power source.

I tied into the adjacent heated seat 12V circuit (which is a switched circuit). But the 2021 RTL spare slot must be somewhat larger then earlier models because this 'rocker switch' unit will not simply snap into place.

The cutout size on the 20-21 RT is 22mm wide X 45mm long.

Most of those USB ports are 21mm wide x 36.5mm long (which might be the size of the cutouts on the pre 2020s?).

The width will work but the length (which is where the clips are located) will not.

Like a few others here, I took a Dremel to the blank filler piece but Carling does make an adapter that you can buy but you may have a hard time finding it.

This is my solution, I put some velcro under the gauges, and I stick a 30000mah lithiumbatterypack on that, then I can charge anything during the day, I have 2 of those, one is being charged in the frunk, while the other is in use.
No cable clutter, no holes to drill, and heck even if you use it alot, 10000mah, would also be sufficient.
and when the cardo's need to to be ravamped, I just put it in my jacket, or to the hotelroom, or where ever I am at that moment.
They are cheap nowadays, and for me they work

I was going to install a USB port in the spare switch spot too for a clean (none cluttered look) but discovered the slingmods garage door opener and installed that instead, and went with the slingmods plug and play ram mount USB/power port set up.
If you have the blank switch cover plate you can buy one of the basic USB ports block and modify it to hold something like this.

or get something like this and just mount to the bars.

sorry links don't work but if you type in the name it will come up.

If I was going to use that I would wire a relay into it triggered by the accessory port that on the right side. The relay needs minimal power to trigger and you can run the power to the relay directly from the battery. Then you have a keyed USB port.
