I have a 2021 Spyder RTL with 28,700 miles. I live in Denver, and I went to Sturgis last weekend. The Spyder ran perfectly the whole weekend. Coming back to Denver it was really hot through Wyoming (around 100 degrees). We got close to Denver and hit the abortion known as I-25 with 5:00 traffic. I decided to take a different route and got off I-25. On the ramp the bike was in third and when I downshifted to second the bike hesitated for a few seconds but went into gear. A few miles down the road it did it again. The third time I was at a light and went to go, it jerked and then just died. I was able to get to the side of the road and shut everything down. I waited a few minutes, and it started right up but wouldn't shift to first. I finally got into gear and was able to drive home just fine. I took the bike out today and everything was normal.
My questions are.
1. Anyone experience this problem?
2. If so, did you discover the problem? I though it may have been vapour lock because of the heat and stop and go
traffic. The temp gauge never changed from its normal position.
3. Fuel pump problem was suggested.
I would appreciate any wisdom you can offer.
