There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Anybody have an issue with understanding the RT radio sound?

I'm having a problem with the sound quality of the RT A/C radio. Has anybody else had a similar problem understanding the music? Is it the speakers or the radio itself? I could just rip out the whole thing or just shoot it. What's a guy to do?:dontknow:

I found that with the stock setting I couldn't hear it above 40 mph. You need to set the speakers to the front. I think it is the fade setting? I changed that and now I can hear my radio even at 70+

I will give that a try also. I feel like the radio is junk above 40 mph also. Its like going to a drive in food place and trying to understand what they are saying through the ordering speaker.

I ended up tinkering with the Bass and Treble settings for quite a while until I figured out that if they're set too far off of "zero", they can easily overpower each other and you actually lose Bass, Treble or Midrange responses... Make sure that they're set to zero and work in small steps from there.

I wear a red FF Shoei with a BRP headset. I hear okay up to 70, then....little to nothing. On my Gold Wing, I wear a FF Orange Shoei with Chatterbox headset....much better at all speeds. Ditto my CB's.

Clarion; What else do you need to know?? :2thumbs::clap:

Bob, right on and as you know, my Gold Wing radio and CB are made by Clarion...top notch, much better than BRP in all areas. BRP needs to talk to Clarion...

Another area to improve the sound is to adjust the front to back ratio on the speakers or headset. It is the far right bar on the audio...move it all the way to the front and see if this helps. It sure did for me.

I find that once I get up to speed I need to move the windshield on my RT to the top and that makes a HUGE difference in hearing the radio.

I have a somewhat different issue with the radio on my brand new RT (just did 600 mile service!) When I first got the Spyder I was hugely impressed with the radio reception, so much so that I bragged to friends about how much better it was than my car. Then at about 220 miles my reception went to $*it. Since I knew I had to take it in at 600 miles I lived with it for a while. But I just picked up the Spyder from the dealer after service and the reception still stinks. They said they checked all the connections but...

Anyone else with this problem?

AM radio problems

I found that my problem was with the antenna. Not fixed yet by dealer but should be by next week. When you are getting bad reception that sounds like bad speakers reach back and grab the antenna. Move it around slightly and see if that helps. Mine sounds great when stopped at speed it was impossible to understand due to all kinds of other noises. The FM never had this problem. I found by touching the antenna and putting slight forward pressure on it the reception was now excellent. I posted this before. I took a weak bungee cord and attached a wire to the antenna about 8 inches above the rubber seal at the base. Hooked the other end around the passenger hand grip on the right side. It cured my problem. I did try all the other adjustments with bass and treble, front to back. This was the best fix for me.

Was your antenna starting to unscrew itself from the base?
No, it was very tight. You could see the blue thread locking compound around the base. When I got the antenna loose from the mounting base I tried to clean it off without damaging the threads per Scotty's recommendation. This did not have any effect. I think it must be something in the base.

Having a problem with the audio volume at higher speeds on your RT? The audio volume level can be self-adjusting according to the automatic volume control setting as set in the PREFERENCES SCREEN.
