• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

If you feel inclined, please share your story. We are a new Spyder owner and considering a 2011 SeaDoo GTI 130 purchase. We owned a 1994 SeaDoo GTX PWC and it was a wonder in the water. Would love to hear your story.

My brother is probably going :yikes: for ever showing me his Spyder at Christmas! :)

Happy New Year to All!

I have what is probable now called a vintage 1998 Kawasaki 1100STX and it has been a trusted machine with no problem, it is also mint as I have only 65 hours on it. I did own a 2005 Sea-Doo Sport 18' Challenger 180 for a year but sold it because it was too much trouble for me alone to use.

Been a PWC owner long before Spyder. Gotten my first one in the late 90s and started off at 110hp. Salesman was worried I was gonna hurt myself since I never ridden one before. Was the best decision I made by going with the highest hp available at the time. My friends had to upgrade twice to catch up with me. You will never have too much hp in a marine enviroment. It makes you feel a little better that you have 200+ hp on a jet when you need to out run a thunder boomer and beat it back to shore.

Sea-Doos is like Lexus ... lexurious but needs more TLC at the end of the season (or you'll pay for it by spending a whole day in the spring trying to get it going again). Yamaha is like your Honda ... the sucker never breaks down and fires up on the first try. I like them both and have had more than 10 PWCs over the years.

have a serial number original SPORTS PAL 12 foot canoe with a 3/4 hp bumblebee outboard for river runnin and fishin. does that count ??

:agree:, We have had several Yamaha's and Honda's. We currently have a Honda that is awesome and requires very little maintenance. I have several friends that have seadoos and they are nice but see to need more TLC.

I have had a lot of them and was New England vets champ in 95 .
The 130 or 155 Non Superchargd are bullet proof and will last probably 1,000 hours. My favorites are my-

1-98 XP-L 130 hp 2 stroke 63.8 GPS
2-2008 RXT-X 255 Hp Supercharged with external intercooler-0-50 in 3.5 seconds. 69 MPH GPS.:ohyea:
