• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any XM Radio deals?

I have Pandora on my iPad. You put in an artist. It plays ONE song for that artist, then it plays a song from another artist that is similar and on and on and on......
Plus, I would have to purchase another smart phone that works with my phone service that will get Pandora. I'm not throwing my $200 POS semi-smart phone away.

Stevedfive, that a bit below what they offer for a year, $91.06.

What I will miss is the live shows from the best artist like Armin van Buuren's A state of Sundays, A State of Trance, etc. Pandora has nothing per say, to compare.

If you have iTunes, go to Radio and under Electronica look for 'DanceRadio.ca Radio ONE.
They have some of the same stuff as the XM. Also, ElectroMarineFM is like BPM.

BTW, since I cancelled my service, someone forgot to 'flip the switch' on my account? Been listening for over a week now. The Ultra Music Fest has been great!:yes::yes:

I did get an offer from XM today for $4.17 a month for six months. Not too bad. I'd like to get that deal for a year which would be about $50.

Caveman. That is actually what I listen to when I am in my office. Don't want to pay the $12 to listen to XM online. I am trying the XM Snap route for the Spyder. If it works our well ill use the same radio on my Jet Boat.

Toolbox Stereo

I took one of those black plastic tool boxes from Lowes and made it into a radio for use on a boat. Marine speakers on the ends. I re-did it by installing a marine radio in the front. There is a cooling fan that helps keep the temps down.
My Roady XM Radio is in a ziplock bag and plugged into power like on the Spyder. I tune the radio and get the XM through the Toolbox Stereo.

Go online and do a web search for "Bubba Test" and watch the video. That's what I have. I've met the guy at the end of the video that says, "OK".

Only problem with Pandora and the likes are you have to have continuous internet connection (and unlimited internet plans helps) whereas the XM comes in anywhere you have satellite visibility of the sky. I too listen to BPM51, 52 or The Highway 59 most of the time. Great stations!

Your XM has to be on when they send the cancellation signal. When I cancelled it on my car, I had it for almost a year afterwards, since I hardly drove the car, and it was always in the garage. But one day, on the way back from Charleston, it caught me...

XM sent an email with a deal for 6 months, $24.99. With taxes it came to $28.11. So, I have it on my calendar to call and cancel the day before it's to auto-renew. Will try for another deal after that. I heard they were losing customers because of what they have been charging.

I think for some reason they think it's built into my truck because the guy asked when I would be in my truck. I have a Delphi Roady and it's a portable unit. It's what I play in the Spyder, in the house, the camper or my truck.

I found a website online for the manual for my Roady because it's been years since I had to program the unit. When it went dead from no signal, it had a 'memory loss'. :banghead:

I'm getting to listen to the Ultra Music Fest in Miami, FL.:yes::yes: The other half of UMF will be this weekend!

Yeah, the inline amp ....

About the inline AMP someone mentioned,it sounds interesting. Where/what do you connect it to?:dontknow:

I'm not very techy, so I wondered about this too. And what is this XM Snap? I have an old Delphi unit:

When the cheap price runs out I would get an Ipod. You can put all your music on there and set it to shuffle and listen all day. When I upgrade to a bluetooth headset for the helmet I might get an Ipod touch with bluetooth or upgrade my phone to one with more memory.:)
