Trying to find, is there any way to put a saddle/saddle bags on the 2013 Spyder ST? Seems like I saw pictures of back in the day a model having 1 bag on the side? Don't know if they mounted to the rear passenger handles, but then how would you keep them off the plastic side panels back there??

I had a 2013 STS. I found factory saddle bags and mounting frames on Ebay. I'll send pictures of the bike with the bags when/if I find them.

:agree: OR look on e-bay for hard or soft bags , they are usually sold with mounting frames .... years ago I bought some from " MUTAZA " .... they looked great for less than $250.00 plus they came with really nice frames ....good luck ...Mike

Search Mutaza Saddlebags in the threads. I have a post with pictures of how I did it. I installed these on my bike, and they work great. Hope it helps.

 ... I bought the bags from Mutaza, but at 1/2 that price ... I looked at the bags on that page - 28L - and probably bought those .... No matter .... I did have a concern about the latching mechanism that held the bags to that mounting frame, so to ensure they COULDN"T come off accidently, I drilled a 3/8th inch hole from inside the bag. .... First, I mounted them; and then drilled the hole from inside the bag THROUGH the where it mounts to the frame .... I then put a short 3/8ths of an inch bolt into that hole and welded it to the frame so it would come into the back of that bag... Now I could put a washer and 3/8ths of an inch LOCK-NUT on the bolt, and this would guarantee it could NOT come off accidently. ..... Many years back, when these bags became popular, another member (JimVonBaden) posted a HOW-TO video on some modifications he did to the frame .... I put His name in the SEARCH box and found it .... Good Luck ...Mike

Yep, stuff is not cheap now days. Lucky for me, they were still available. Finding after market for an 11-year-old machine is getting pretty iffy. I have looked at Von Baden's and Fetermel's posts, which are a great help, as well as your post's ;)

Well my bags came today, nice looking BENCH ORNAMENTS, came with no Spyder specific instructions on how to mount the Universal brackets on the Spyder, and to me it's not obvious. So maybe some Day I will figure it out, but not NOW. :cus:

PM'd Jim about something and he responded right back with more pictures, so tonight they're on there, but not wired yet. Thanks again to Jim for the help and to the others who got the ball rolling. :ohyea:

Perseverance will get you there ..... consider adding the bolt I mentioned above .... quick release mechanism's can cause issues ..... good luck ....Mike
