There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Any videos on Removing '24 RT frunk to hardwire the battery?

Has anyone seen a video on how to remove the frunk to hardwire the battery? No shop manual for 2024 yet, so how to remove it?

I do not want to remove the front end, just the plastic liner inside the frunk. I've seen the video to remove the front end, not my issue. Just remove the plastic liner that opens the front to run wires to the battery.

So, the battery access cover is not big enough? (It's behind the cloth liner, if you have one). I don’t think that you can remove just the back wall of the frunk tub itself; or lift out just the tub and leave the rest of the nose module on. But, for almost all stuff on your 2024, a 2023 service manual will do just fine. 25 bucks.

Coach Bob posted a video of how to attach the short cables to the battery.

At 5:30 is where he talks about opening the frunk, and then shows him unscrewing the cover over the battery.

He doesn't have a Sea-to-Sky, so he doesn't show unzipping the cloth/carpet liner inside the frunk.
The zipper is obvious, just unzip enough to push the liner down to expose the battery cover.

Raccoon - the issue is running power cables into the frunk from the console. They need to enter through the plastic liner of the frunk and then attach to the battery. The 2024 RTL's are different from the past models, you cannot remove the plastic liner to get to the battery. The 3rd party sellers do not have videos or instruction on how to get their power cables to the battery. Older models have pushpins to remove, the liner comes out, and the battery is opened to cables.

I would just remove a side panel and work the wire around... depending on what you’re trying to install. It's the same as any RT 20+

I do have a RT S2S 2024.

Still not following you friend. You cannot remove the plastic liner to get to the battery???? This thread shows pics of the inside of the frunk and battery access on a 2024 RT. Looks the same as mine and all others. The liner just un-zips. Maybe you could post pics of just what it is you need to remove. As was said, if you remove your service and side panels, you could snake a wire harness down to the battery from above, and access it through the battery access panel in the frunk. What are we missing?

I hardwired a tender pigtail onto my F3, it was very easy.

Open the frunk, pop the 4 plastic 'rivets' off and pull the liner tub out.

I ran the tender cable out the side and cable tied it to the frame, easy access.

I know that the RT is different, but it can't be that much different, can it?

I reckon you nailed it. Nothing missing from my viewing of your excellent post.

Albec - the 2024's do not have plastic rivets, the liner does not come out.

Snowbelt Spyder - Thank you for your input and link. Take the battery cover off and you find a connected SAE cable with a 15-amp fuse. Run it through the rubber seal with an X cut into it. I now can run 14 awg wire from the battery through the opening on the side of the battery up under the plastic cover on top of the frunk. There I will install a waterproof 6 lane fuse box. All the electrical wiring will come to the fuse box. There is a second rubber seal to the left of the battery also.
