• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any video on how to Install rear cargo/luggage carrier before I drill?

I put down masking tape on the trunk lid to set and mark the carrier. If it is the Show Chrome version, and you also will use the leg extensions, put them on the rack before marking the legs. Because the legs run at angles, the leg extensions make for slightly different mounting points if you want to drill small holes. Getting the plastic bases turned all the right ways for proper mounting takes patience. Good luck!

LUGGAGE RACK

:welcome:..........I can see you're a person of FEW words .....................Too few :dontknow:.....sorry , Mike :bbq:

;) One thing that you may need to consider:
If you mount a rack on your top trunk: BRP's covers will no longer fit over your bike properly...
(This may not affect you; I just thought you should know about it. )

When I installed my rack

I went to my friendly neighborhood upholstery shop and had extra panels of like material sewn into both of my covers to make each of them fit. Also use fender washers on the underside of the trunk cover to strengthen the mounting so later on the trunk lid won't crack from stress. The masking tape trick is a very good idea. After you push the first drill bit through your trunk lid, the next three holes go much easier. Never, never, never carry too much weight on that rack. Only use it to carry the lightest, least expensive items you need to grab quickly, like rain gear, if you know what I mean. Good luck on drilling that first hole.
