• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any tricks/tips to reinstall those %#%! mirrors back on...!

2014 RTL. had the sides off to install baha-ron's sway bar, & did oil & filter change, etc. left side snapped on great. right side..can't get the front lwr mount to snap in... took out the spring and adjusted it alittle..man..wish they'd just used screws or bolts to mtg them...got them off okay...Plastic inside doesn't look damaged...anyway, this design sure promotes a person to buy the "magnet mtg" for sure...Tips?? heading to Sturgis in a couple days...tks

Just fix it once and for all time, buy yourself a set of Magic Mirror Mounts and be done with it! The only regret you're ever likely to have after that is "Why the bleedin'eck didn't I do that sooner!!" :gaah:

Thanks for the link and the response...I ended up "Switching" the plastic screwed in clips from the back to the front one. The one that would not snap in, snapped in after the switch..going to order the magnet mounts asap. thanks again!

Those magnets are strong... be sure to keep razor blades away from you work area so you don't get one stuck in your thumb from about 6" away... ask me how I know....lol.

I've been around some pretty strong rare-earth magnets in the past... I just had a thought - I wonder if there is any "danger" for people who have a pace-maker and are only a few feet away from these magnets?? I would not like to hear about a pace-maker changing motions or shutting off...

I won't give Medical advice other than to say consult with your Med. professional. Except for my Magnet System. The others have about 100lbs. of force, EACH x's 3 = 300 lbs - ask based on that amount.... Good luck... Mike

Magic Mirror Magnets are the ticket - easy on - easy off. And they don't vibrate/they are secure on the road.

Directions, please?

Save yourself the effort, any trials & tribulations, failures, etc. ;)

Just Click on the Lamonster Garage logo up toward the top right of the page; type 'Magic Mirrors' into the Search field; submit the Search; click on the picture that is labelled 'Magic Mirrors' or something similar; and read on; watch the videos; then once you realise how easy it can be, just follow the directions to purchase.

:agree: x2 When we moved from AK, the movers damaged one of the mirrors. Did you know you cannot move a Spyder by grabbing on to the mirror mount?

A set of Magic Mirror Mountrs from Lamonster garage quickly fixed the drivers side mirror.

Once you find out how you've GOT to do it, then IF you can ever convince yourself to actually do it, I'd think that at the very least, you'll seriously cringe the very first time you remove the mirrors on a pre-2020 Spyder (many don't/won't/can't ever bring themselves to thump the mirrors hard enough/the right way to do this tho! :lecturef_smilie: ) and you MUST remove those mirrors to do pretty much anything on a pre-2020 RT that requires the removal of any of its tupperware! :cus:

And even if you are ULTRA careful when you do take the mirrors off, you'll probably bend/break at least one of the three mirror mounts on each mirror waaaaayyyy more often than you'd ever expect - most break at least one mount maybe 1 out of every 3 mirror removal attempts, or worse, and then your mirrors will fall off pretty much every time you try to ride until that mount/those mounts are replaced; and the OEM replacements aren't cheap; they are becoming harder to get; they are rarely if ever stocked by dealers, so generally, you'll need to stop riding for a few weeks every bleedin' time you break one of the buggas (or every time the dealer breaks one or more for you, but then 'forgets' to tell you, and then claims innocence cos your mirror doesn't fall off and shatter on the roadway until you're already halfway home, so you hafta either sue ir eat the cost of a new mirror - AGAIN! :cus:)

Basically, the OEM Mirror mounts are a right pain, repeatedly, and in the worst possible way... :banghead: OR you could buy & take maybe 20 minutes to fit a set of Magic Mirror Mounts and then never have any hassles getting your mirrors &/or tupperware off &/or putting it back on ever again; nor are you likely to ever have any 'mirror falling off issues again, ever again!! :ohyea:

Do the search, watch the videos, and it'll very likely all become a whole lot more clear.

Convincing post - and many others I've researched say "no-brainer" buy. Buying them now. Thank you!
