There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any thoughts before I try this?

One thing they did not tell you... The BT adapter will not support the Apple iPod protocol that will allow you to control the iPod from the dash. It will show up as AUX with this. So you will need to use your phone screen to control music. e.g. playlists, songs, artists, etc. In AUX mode you can only skip ahead or back one song at a time from the handlebars. Again all the fancy stuff that shows on the dash you can control with the handlebar buttons won't be there now.

I did once make a cable for a guy that wanted to do what you want. It worked except I had to use "shielded" cable as engine noise was causing problems with the connection and audio.
