• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any suggestions on where to tap the tail light wires on a 2020 RT?

I want to add an LED tail light cluster below my license plate and tap into the common harness somewhere behind the seat without pulling tupperware if possible.

Anyone know how to identify the bundle?

Look under the rear panel (it pops right off). There's a connection there for the light on the top box. You can get running and brake lights but no signal lights.

My question is can we add lights and hence load to the circuit with this Canbus system? I would like to add a l.e.d. Flashing stop light but am afraid to do this.

Yes, you can add LEDs IF they are designed to work with Canbus. The unit I have came off my last bike w/canbus.

The short answer is: Yes you can.

Call Spyderpops (a SL sponsor). He makes a quite a few LED light packages for your Spyder.

Thanks for the info on brake light products but as mentioned in OP, I want to re-use a $130 light assembly that does running, brake, and sequential signaling. I just need to locate which bundle to open to tap the wires. The signals are the key feature of the unit. The service manual lists the colors for each function but the bundle I opened under the rear seat has multiple same-color wires in it going to the rear.

It looks like you have a base RT without the top box. Assuming BRP uses the same wiring harness, there's power for run and brake lights (no signal lights) under the rear panel. It's easier to remove the rear panel if you first remove the passenger seat.
