• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any suggestions for replacement Front shocks?

Side by side photo of elka stage 2's and factory shock. They made a significant difference in ride & performance. I can hold a smoother line in turns at a high speed. The bike seems more agile and responsive. Chris

If you want cheaper options than the Elkas, there are Fox Shock upgrades available thru BRP; and some Forum Members in your part of the World, plus a heap of Members & others here in Oz have fitted IKON Shocks - here's the US link for them:

Check them out - you might be surprised!

I have fitted Wilbers all round on my '17TRL and a mate went with the Elka's on his '14RTL. They have been one of the best investments for the RT, and once you chose you'll wish you'd done it sooner. I don't know your riding style, but if your budget allows I'd do all corners.

Thanks for all of the suggestions, I put the Elka stage 2's on the bike and they definitely made a big difference.

Peter, do you have any experience with these? How would you compare them to Elka and Fox https://www.hotspyderaccessories.com/fox-adjustable-front-shock-kit-spyder-rt-2014-and-up/ ?

Never run the Elka's on my own Spyder, but I've ridden other's Spyders with them fitted; and I've tried Fox shocks on mine & also ridden other's Spyders with them.... I reckon most would consider my ryding 'fairly hard' & 'fairly extensive' ;) But for my personal 2-bob's worth, I prefer the IKONS - not as expensive, and maybe they're not quite so adjustable in all respects (but how many actually adjust their shocks all that often?! :p ) but the mob here in Oz listened to what I wanted/needed & the resulting shock/spring combinations work pretty well for MY loading, ryding, and requirements; and they juuust keep on doing the job!
