• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any issues with using Slingmods 12V cell phone/GPS docking station like this?

I want to get Slingmods 12V cell phone/GPS docking station. I want to use the 12V outlet to run my Battery Tender or heated jacket liner. I want to use Lamonster's 12V battery Tender Quick Disconnect Cigarette plug. It has an internal 3-amp fuse. Battery Tender has a 3-amp Power Tender 12V/6V switchable battery charger. Are there any issues with this setup?

I also want to run my Warm & Safe Gen 4 Heated Liner off the 12V outlet with the 12V cigarette plug. Is there an issue with this set up?

Would there be a better/worse location to connect the power line for the docking station?

If you are plugging the tender into the cig lighter plug to maintain the battery, be sure to check the polarity. Be sure the + from the tender connects to the + on the cig lighter. Same with the -

Your heated gear needs more amperage. You need to run the heat through a relay and get the power from the battery, not accessory line. Use the accessory wire to trigger the relay. Also, if you want to maintain the battery level, you need the tender to go direct to the battery. No issue running your electronics off the accessory line.
