Any decent Ryker windshields, cheaper but worth buying? Recommendations please?

Hey folks, I’m looking for some suggestions please. We purchased my wife a 900 Ryker new in 22. I ride two wheels, and she wanted her own ride, so this is where we ended up. At this point it has about 300 miles on it. She just never rides. She says she would like a windshield on it, and I have no problem purchasing one. My issue is part of me is afraid if I spend several hundred on one the bike will still sit, and I just wasted money. All that being said, are there any decent windshields out there on the cheaper side that are worth the buying? I don’t want to save a few bucks but end up with a useless piece of junk for a windshield.

I have a Ryker Adventure windscreen and find it works very well. It is height adjustable which is handy for my 6'2" frame. Easy to lower if you want some wind in your helmet during hot days but you can lift it up high for rain and cold days. It isn't the cheapest though.

Similar to Nightfalcon, I have the Ryker OEM Sport windshield. Same features as the Adventure, just shorter and a tad narrower. I am 6'. It has worked well for me. Also, not the cheapest.

Lamonster Garage offers several different brands of windshields for the Ryker. I believe F4 Customs makes one for the Ryker but even more expensive. And EvolutionR makes one, plus several on Amazon.

I bought mine off Amazon, it's a copycat of the OEM Adjustable Sport windshield, around $87 delivered I believe. You'll find a slew of them for under $100.

I have seen them but are they worth a crap? Last thing I want it to try and save a few $$ but end up with some junk that doesn’t fit properly and ends up more trouble than it’s worth.

I bought the same one for my wife's Ryker. I removed the adjusting part because her bike has the BRP music system. She has been very happy with it.

We’re gonna find out about them ‘cuz I have one on order now. The PO I bought my Ryker from had a Madstad Tour 24 shield that they offered me. No money was mentioned, but glad logistics intervened, and I politely refused the offer. Found out later that Madstad shields require their own very pricey mounting hardware, and that some of the shields also restrict the opening of the front “glove box” unless you manipulate the screen’s angle so the cover will clear. Bag that!

Aluminum radiator/chin protector came in yesterday, skid plate/pan will be in today, and the shield will be in tomorrow. Gonna be an install party in the garage when the house guests bail outta here after T’day.

LOL! I love beer, with or without the oysters.

Also, I just shuck them and slurp them down. Been eating them that way for years. I also occasionally make a batch of oyster stew. My mom used to make it for special occasions when I was coming up. Some things you just develop an affinity for.

I won't get into the installation period until next week. Too much other stuff going on right now. Gotta say that the full skid plate is one hellava nice chunk of aluminum. It should provide suitable protection on any roads I intend on hitting.
