There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Any after market license plate lights for F3's?

Lost the red license plate cover on my F3 and instead of spending $50 to get another one from brp i was wondering if anyone has found something better that will fit on F3 ?

I am confused now, Lost mine Saturday and it seems to just be a cover plate cap that is held on with 1 screw. For the cover you have to purchase the entire assembly???? What a crock. I am now back on 3 wheels for a new to me 2015 F3-S. It is so much fun and I do like it a bunch.

Yes you have to order a whole new assembly and not only that but you have to take the rear fender apart to replace it.

If you are talking about the license plate light, check either TRICLED or Custom Dynamics, I replaced the one on mine but I can't remember the source.

It sure seems to me that this could be an inexpensive fix, $$15 or so. All it needs is a plastic or thin metal rectangular cup with screw hole in bottom middle to fit on the part that does not fall of and run away. My new $50 fender cover should be here tomorrow. I will take the cover piece off and Loctite it like crazy in hopes of saving another $50. I would really feel bad if I lost another one on my less than a week old to me F3.

loctite wont do it. the boos area for the screw is to thin. i thought someone stole the first one. bought 53 dollar new one (yikes) and used a longer anti theft screw. it lasted about 10,000 miles and it was gone. the plastic just breaks around screw. i gave brp the riot act and they just looked at me. buttheads. they have no plans to help us out.

You still need the original cover that i lost :(

No, Custom Dynamics makes a replacement cover. This has been an issue on the Spyders since the first GS models. Incidentally the F3 uses the same tail light assembly as the RS. BRP does not sell the lens separately but the aftermarket does.

When installing the replacement lens, suggest a dab of black weatherstrip adhesive on the 4 corners of the cover where it joins the housing. The single screw rattles loose and falls out easily.

Way back when this issue started to occur ( GS _ RS ) some folks tried using Lok-Tite , and I believe the Lok-Tite …. ATE … the plastic, not immediately but in a short time ….. so if you all ready put it on …. dis-assemble and clean it ALL off …. then do what JC said ….. good luck …. Mike :ohyea:

I used a dab of clear silicone on the screw threads in lieu of Loctite and it worked well, two years and the screw is still tight.

still working on this, ordered the wrong part so had to return the fender molding and reorder the license light assy. Just an FYI Bike Bandit and other places have this available and might be easier to deal with that Spyder shop. I like BB as they are priced ok and service is good. Still working on aftermarket or even home made solution for my retirement mission. How is it that a manufacture does not offer a lens??? Can Am is so frustrating sometimes. But they have a product that is unique and provides a great ride option for those of us that appreciate the 3 wheel solution to riding.

I searched the entire internet and couldnt find after market replacment lens so took the opportunity to add some extra lights at the same time, ive ordered few different led license lights that i think at least one of thek should fit nicely and lot more brighter than the reflective brp lens. They were quite cheap from China so probably the whole thing will cost me less than the brp assembly just more labor intensive
