Thanks, I dont think im putting another brp one, i was hopping someone may have put an after market already so i dont have to go through trial and errorMy touring partner lost his a couple of weeks ago. IMO, it's a s***ty design. In a recent thread several folks have offered their approaches to prevent it from happening again. Here's an idea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUvnx3CKsbE&feature=youtu.be
Yes you have to order a whole new assembly and not only that but you have to take the rear fender apart to replace it.I am confused now, Lost mine Saturday and it seems to just be a cover plate cap that is held on with 1 screw. For the cover you have to purchase the entire assembly???? What a crock. I am now back on 3 wheels for a new to me 2015 F3-S. It is so much fun and I do like it a bunch.
You still need the original cover that i lost![]()
It sure seems to me that this could be an inexpensive fix, $$15 or so. All it needs is a plastic or thin metal rectangular cup with screw hole in bottom middle to fit on the part that does not fall of and run away. My new $50 fender cover should be here tomorrow. I will take the cover piece off and Loctite it like crazy in hopes of saving another $50. I would really feel bad if I lost another one on my less than a week old to me F3.
So it took a while but got my aftermarket $9 led light from China which is much brighter better made.
