There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. anyone owning 2013 model who added bajaron anti sway bar, could you decribe your handling improvements

Actually I haven't made any mods, i.e., sway bar, etc. I still have the factory setup save the balljoint change out. I'm still considering getting the sway bar. I've just been too busy in court lately with "dope" to make a move.

Hope this helps.

Chris PS: Bullant12 (I think it's 12, LOL) (Erick will kill me now because I just mispelled his wife Leira's name in another thread) I think had the sway bar installed. You might ask him. Pass it on.

I put the sway bar and links on Saturday. I also have Elka shocks. The shocks were a big improvement in handling but still was not steady in the wind like when you pass a truck. After the sway bar install it is real steady in the wind and handles curves better.

I have the bar on my 2013 RT and it helps a lot in cornering no more roll. I have stock shocks and I don't see any reason to go with any other shocks. For me the bar is the way to go. :2thumbs:

It really surprised me how much it improved the bike. takes the wind better, more stable around corners. i highly recommend it for the Spyder RT 13.

Why not have it as a default

I am really surprised that such a useful mod being inexpensive is not added by BRP as a default.

Glad to hear

Just ordered the swaybar. Guess I'll take it into the dealer and have him check and make sure I don't need ball joints and links replaced. Might as well have them put the swaybar on while they're at it. Glad to hear about the improvement to handling on the 2013 RT ;)

BRP includes a swaybar that meets their engineering desires and requirements. Like shock stiffness and damping, seats, handlebar height, and a host of other things there will always be owners who want additional performance, different features, or other modifications. That is what the aftermarket is there for.

I will concur with all the above much improved handling in corners and only thing that buffets now is my body not the bike's when semis pass going the other way. I took a certain circular (rated 25mph) on ramp that gradually increases in angle for the first time on my RT today with Ron's bar & Links. I have been afraid to try it before. I used to do it in my Vette at max of 45mph I was able to do it on the Spyder at 35 mph and never had nanny come on might have had a few more mph but the centrifugal force was getting strong in fact I have never had nanny bug me....yet  May the force push you

So these are the pieces (non-technical term) at the end of the sway bar, #38 in the RT parts diagram called "tie rod"? Should be installed at the same time as the sway bar??

Here is my 2013 RT BajaRon Swaybar review: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...3-RT-Sway-Bars&p=633090&viewfull=1#post633090

No... but I think Leira will! With a swaybar!!!:joke:

Many, if not most, companies do this. On your car, you do the same thing if you want better suspension, performance, etc. BRP only sets the requirements, people like Ron adjust them and make them better.

If you have them, if not, no biggie... easy to replace!
