• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Another zinger for the Spyder engineers......

So, Last week, I finally installed my BRP heated grips onto the bike since I was doing some other wiring mods inside the guts. All was crystal clear and easy except the part where you had to remove the 4 little allen head screws from the bottom of the handle bar covers. Not really mentioned in the instructions or the factory manual. Unless i missed an important step, they were dang near impossible to remove without a whole lot of cuss words even I did not know.

Good work, guys................

Did you rotate the handlebars ?
I tried so many ways I can’t remember all of them. The most difficult part was trying to get them back into the holes to tighten them back up. My fat fingers keep losing grip on the Allen wrench and then it and the bolt would start falling out. Almost had 2 disappear into the dark depths of the Spyder. Anyway, hope I never have to do it again.

The absolute worst tool for installing socket head bolts is an allen key. This particular installation is much easier with a hex drive socket on a 1/4 drive twist handle ratchet.
