• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What are the changes to the ST model from the 2013 to the 2014 especially as it relates to heat issues. Did they correct the ST heat issues on the 2014? We are thinking of becoming a 2 spyder family. We currently have the 2014 RT-S and are thinking about the 2014 ST-S-L. We are also open to buying a second RT. Thoughts everyone? :chat::chat:

I could be wrong and I am only going by what was posted here when the 14's were announced. The major change was the 1330 engine on the RT along with a lot of design changes to support it. I do not believe much was changed on the ST for 2014. Again only going by what I read here on SL about the 14's.

I just test drove a 2014 st-limited, i currently own a 2013 st limited. my bike was in the shop for a recall bulletin fix, so i figured i'd ride a couple of their bikes :)

this is in augusta, ga, at 95 degrees at 3pm in the afternoon.

the 2014 st-limited ran just as hot as my 2013.

i think theres a change in the suspension setup if i remember correctly, otherwise, it seemed like the same bike to me.

and then i took out the 1330....... damn near bought it on the spot lol.

2013 to 2014

I know they have changed the front panels by adding a vent into them, this is supposed to help with the heat issues on the earlier model and some 2013 owners have fitted these new 2014 panels to hopefully cure some of the heat issues.
Apart from that I haven't really read up on the specification of the 2014 to know the differences.

They clearly is not heat issue any longer on the 2014 RT.. Do yourself a favor and test drive one of them....
I agree the vented panels on the 2014 St helped a little but no where near the design change of the new radiator and fan positioning on the RT

Let's see..!!

they did make some changes and I have not heard that there is any heat issue with this years ST's. The best would be to test ryde one and see for yourself...

The good thing is that we have not heard any real issues on the 2014 ST's. We usually hear about these things if there are any problems.
