• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Another proud day for this Papa

I'm in San Antonio now at my youngest sons graduation. Alex got his "coin" yesterday and is now a Airman for the United States Air Force. He'll be spending the next two weeks to see if he has what it takes for the Special Forces. If he makes it through that he'll move on to his schooling for Combat Controller. With a 95% drop rate I hope he didn't set his sights too high but I'm proud that he's going for it.

The ceremony was not as intense as the Marines but it was still great. When they graduate they give them a coin instead of a globe and anchor like the Marines. Anyway I was so excited I just had to share this with my friends here. Please keep all are military in your thoughts and prayers.

Congrats, don't forget to watch the cycle video, if they still do it, it changed my opinion of Air Force training when I saw my sons video several years ago. I think the best part was when he was featured in the segment of their first haircut.

:congrats:To Alex, you and Mom. Hope he makes it through the next round. Of course he knows his Marine brothers are going to give him a hard time. :ohyea:

From someone who spent 36 years of his life working for and in the military; I say congratulations. I'm sure he will be a credit to the uniform.

:congrats: Alex, and best of luck with the Special Forces training.

Lamont, you have every right to be proud as well. :2thumbs:

Congratulations. Love the picture of the "Lackland Laser" (flashlight the troops carry).

Retired AF here. Daughter in AF as well currently in Afghanistan. Good luck to your son.:2thumbs:
