• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

ANOTHER POST RECALL REPORT

Took a 200 mile ride today from Weston CT up Route 7 via I-84 to Great Barrington MA, where I had lunch, then back down Route 7 and across Route 23 to Hillsdale NY, Down Route 22 to Brewster NY, Back on I-84 to Danbury CT, then back down Route 7 home. When I left home, the temp was 75 degrees, and and as the day progressed, it got up to 86. The onboard thermometer never rose above 88 degrees, and the RT ran flawlessly. And, it was very comfortable to ride, as there was NO excessive heat, NO gas fumes, and NO gas boiling in the tank. IMHO, BRP got this one right. Took a while, but it seems to me that someone thought long and hard about how to make these issues go away. With my RT, at least, they succeeded. Yes, I know that there are some out there who do not like the look of the scoops, but personally, I am happy to have them, as well as the other modifications, rather than feeling like I am riding a ticking time bomb. Thanks to BRP, I am now a happy owner of a 2013 RTL.

Edit: BTW, I stopped in Dover Plains on the way home to gas up, and the gentleman at the station came out to talk to me. He pointed at the scoops and said, "In my country (Kenya) a white 3 wheel motorcycle with black accents is considered to be a "Presidential Escort Vehicle". He also said that he had never seen a white Spyder here in the U.S. So I guess now I can escort the President of Kenya if he ever comes to the U.S.

Great News

Thank you for a positive response to the recall. The scoops look fine and it is good to know that there is an answer to the heat problems. We may even find that those scoops are a good aftermarket addition for others. I know that I could stand "cooler" on my RT.

just saw this and you know how you see something that isn't there but you read it that way, i won't say what i thought your total said but it is the 3rd word that i saw wrong

Old Guy you road right through our town. We live one zipcode south of Dover Plains in Wingdale have taken a very similar route many times less 84.
