• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Another Newbie Thanking Everyone for Their Insights Here

I've been lurking on here for 6 years - an unexpected but very pleasant detour to Eastern Europe put our motorcycling plans on hold for awhile -- but today my wife and I finally became Spyder Ryders. We are total novices to motorcycling -- if Can-Am produced a green Spyder that would be the color for us.

Really appreciate all the insights and opinions shared on this forum; it helped us figure out what we wanted, where we should buy it (shout out to Rocky at Coyote Powersports in Boerne, TX), and now is helping us on our journey to (hopefully) competence. (And the recommendations on rain gear came in handy today on our drive back to Austin -- also the heated handgrips!)

We look forward to meeting -- not running into -- our fellow Texas Spyder Ryders in the miles ahead.

Peace,

Bret

Bret, congratulations! I predict a bunch of smiling miles for you.

I invite you to join our rally in Tombstone, AZ January 12-14. You're just a short 12 hours away on I10.

We will definitely do that. Right now we're just getting our feet wet -- literally, given the rain this week -- but we'll reach out and set something up.

Welcome, from former Austinites! Wife and I lived there all our lives until last May, beautiful city with a great personality! Ride safe and post often! Hopefully we will cross paths when we are in town to visit family/friends.
