• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Another newbie question re heated grips

Sorry for the questions, but the Can Am is new to me after riding Goldwings for 30+ years. Just switched to Can Am Spyder.

Question: I have the heated seats on my 2014 RT Limited. I thought I had heated grips also as the manual shows the heated grip toggle switch on the dash. When I turn it on, the seats are heated, but no heat on the grips. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Ken

The toggle switch up on the Dash should provide lots of heat to the grips on the bars. (The passenger gets their own switch in the back...)
If you're not getting heat for your grips: something has been left loose.

:agree: Loose wire/ connection or no connection. You should have heat to the grips. But, I just learned something. I did not know that the switch for the heated grips also controls the heated seat. (I don't have one so I wouldn't know). Anybody else, is this the way the heated seat/grips works?

I have a 2015 RT with a heated comfort seat. Dash switch turns on front seat and grips. Passenger switch turns on passenger seat and grab handles.

Thanks

Dealer found that the heated grip connection had come loose. Now I have both heated grips and heated seat.

Thanks for the conversations.

Oh well....
I had heat added to the seat on my Ultra.
I'm sure the same company that I sent that seat to can do the Spyder seat as well.

lucky dog!!!!! both seat and grips  I guess 3 pair of thermals still 4 me ;)

If you get hold of MotorcycleDave who is a sponsor on this site he will fix you up with everything you need to heat your seat. See the home page,he is there.
