• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

...another funny Spyder story...

Last week I was stopped/detained (again) by someone asking about my Spyder. The guy was asking detailed questions, and although I was running late, he was blocking my exit. I patiently answered his questions and then his tone changed. Seems he is a policeman from another county; he met a yellow Spyder owner several weeks ago in his county. This Spyder owner told him that he had the only yellow Spyder in the valley. The policeman's spydersense wondered whether I had "borrowed" someone else's bike. He decided that I knew enough about the bike to be the owner. I explained that there were truly several yellow Spyders out there and I was not offended. Ride safe Spyderryders...someone is always watching! :spyder: :spyder:

Wow! You should have acted like you didn't know a thing about the Spyder, and then see what would have happened! :a20:

I guess we have to expect this when riding the Spyder. :spyder:

I want my Spyder NOW so I can get all of this attention! :cop:

That photo was taken when I was in Moscow, Russia. That was actually a bunch of new troops with the Russian Military, and we were in Red Square when it was taken. A very memorable trip to say the least!

What tag? I am still running paper plates. In Calif. takes a while to get your plate. Sometimes cycle plates go to the dealership first. I did not order vanity plates, have had the bike over 7 weeks and over 800 miles.

I bought my Spyder on December 1st in CA. Still waiting for my plate...

Last week I had the demo from the dealer two days. I stopped at a red light and suddenly someone ran to me and said "hey man, that's a cool thing, I never have seen one before!" and then left back to the sidewalk. He scared the @#!$ out of me, at first I thought someone was attacking me...! Next week my Spyder will be delivered, I ordered pepperspray as well to get rid of future attackers ;D

Something is wrong there. I am in Cali. I got my (wife's) Spyder Dec. 11 and rec'd my plates the end of January. I bought a KLR650 to chase the wife at the beginning of February and just rec'd my plates. Even if you got personalized plates they should have arrived by now.

You may want to check with the DMV and your dealer. Someone may have your plate and no telling what kind of trouble they are causing. DMV says 6-8 weeks for regular plate and 8-12 for personalized plates.

haha, that's just wrong man ;D

Next week i'm gonna borrow a line from another poster and tell people i'm testing it for NASA for the moon landing next year.

trypod you missed a good charity run sat. we went from north main to yulee, over to hilliard, callahan and back to the steel pony. we raised $4500 for a biker who needs a kidney. keep in touch. also saw a navy man and his wife with 2 silver spyders in callahan. they live out on chaffee rd.

This weeks version of: ...another funny Spyder story...

Lady runs up to me in a parking lot...." you have a cup holder?"...nothing about the strange looking bike....
I use my tank bag as a cup holder; clearly one of my best ideas.

Young girl walks up to me yesterday, looks at the Spyder and says "your boyfriend lets you drive his bike?"......ah, the things I should have said but didn't.
