Hey all. Quick question please. Had my DESS module replaced several months ago for DESS orange screen. Seems to be a common problem in the 2014 RT's like mine. Started having intermittent DESS orange screens shortly after replacement. The usual inducements worked for awhile. Finally wouldn't start no matter what I did. Got the bike to the dealer and they "checked it out". I was told that BUDS showed a shifter code and the tech made an adjustment and took for test drive. Everything is OK now and I can pick it up. What did you do about the DESS problem? "This should take care of the problem." Did my IQ suddenly drop to 50 or is there some unknown connection between a shifter sensor and the antitheft system DESS module, that I don't know about? Is anyone aware of a connection between the two? Before I go and pick up the bike and read them the riot act, I wanted to check. I do occasionally make an ass of myself but I am a very smartass.
