OK so now I am a believer. I couldn't believe all the hype about the Baja Ron sway bar. Another forum member had a slightly used bar for sale so I bought it. Thanks Hubie!
Installed it today. The factory bar is WAY too small. I'm guessing two hours for the install. But I took the time to clean a LOT of dead bugs out of the radiators. Apparently grass hoppers are attracted to Spyders. Apparently it is a fatal attraction.
I was worried about getting the bike two feet up. Turns out it was easy. I raised one front wheel and placed a car tire/rim that I laying around under the bike tire. Wound up getting the bike tire almost 10 inches up. Did the same on the other side. Got the old bar loose. Raise one side high enough to remove old bar and put new bar in the frame. Lowered bike back onto the car tire. Only one side needed to be two feet up. And only for a couple minutes. Finished the install with the bike on the car tires/rims.
Also got to try out my homemade electric vest for the first time. 45 degrees today and the vest worked great.
