Christmas came early for us this year! FINALLY after three months at the dealership for a recurrent oil leak, we have our Spyder back at home safe and sound!! :clap::clap::clap: Couldn't ask for a better Christmas present!!:yes::yes::yes:
Picked it up today from Bob's Ski-Doo in Easton, MA. They really went above and beyond for us! We were all tearing our hair out over this issue!
We had taken it to two other dealers on three different occasions, each doing a little something, but clearly not finding out the real problem, and STILL it leaked oil!
Bob's Ski-Doo replaced the oil tank, gaskets and o rings and it was still leaking, this time between the transmission and engine. They removed the engine and transmission, cleaned and resealed in several places, new gaskets, then pressure washed the underside. They test drove it in 30 something degree temps for 40 miles on more than one occasion. It wouldn't leak on just short-around-the-block test drives, so had to really ride to be sure the leaks were fixed.
Thank goodness we purchased the BEST warranty when our manufacturers warranty ran out!! This job would've cost us $2200.00 if not under warranty! The BEST warranty just paid for itself 3x over!!
