• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am doing my homework on installing a CLARION xc1450 it needs 25 amp max of power ,I have a Bad boy air horn needs 20 amps max and wig wag brake light module 10 amp max. Will my 2012 RTS with 650 watts of electrical power take it with out over taxing the magneto. I do drive with my fog lights on 35 watts x 2. I have not bought it yet, any ideas would be grateful. Thanks John Toro :bowdown:

About the most that I know about electricity; is to keep my tongue out of the lamp sockets! :shocked:
Byt my gut tells me that you'd be getting pretty darn close to the edge...
What is the conversion between watts, and amps anyway? (Is there one?)

volts x amps equals watts

v x a=w
v= w/a
a=w/v

If all the extras are at max at one time, you're looking at 660 watts, plus whatever else is standard draw on your spyder.

enough power

:lecturef_smilie:.....Remember the RT pretty much needs to be kept on a Battery Maintainer under Normal circumstances because the Magneto is marginal at best at keeping the Battery charged now........You add all those things ...I seriously suggest you also buy this first....a 'PORTABLE BATTERY STARTER ' for when you can't start your's.....Because it's going to happen.....Mikeguyver :thumbup:

Thank for the info i have a antigravity micro start xp1 great little machine.

The magneto-equipped bikes... are great bikes! :thumbup: They're just not blessed with an overabundance of charging power for accessories. If you work within their parameters; they won't leave you stranded, and the batteries will give years of good service.
The battery that's still in my 2010, is still the original! :clap: I only hooked it up to a maintainer in the off-season...
