• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Americade

Hey Rnet how are you ? Great ride last year, even with the rain. We are not getting in until lunch time on Wed. If you put together a ride on Thurs we are in. Not a big fan of large group rides so will stay away from the BRP ride .
Perhaps we can meet up along the ride wed.

For Wednesday's ride is 230 miles to much for everyone, let me know. I was trying to keep it to 200 miles, but to go around adirondack pack I can't make it any shorter without back tracking.

One of the stops on the way to White Face will be the olympic bobsled run down Mt. Van Hovenburg. I have done this 4 years ago and would recommend this to anyone that has not done this. A little pricey, but a once in a lifetime thrill. I believe the regular price is $70, but I am working on a discount that might involve wearing an americade wristband. It would help to know how many are interested. Is everybody ready for Lake George and 50,000 motorcycles?

sent you a pm. this would be cool to do but is pricey i may need to buy lights to beat dave this year :firstplace::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

No worry on beating me, I'm bringing my Harley and my wides Spyder. Not entering any contest. We come to ride. Ron's 230 mile trip sound good to me but I'm staying away from the sleds. I'm too old and heal too slowly. Hope we get some nice sunny warm weather. I'm ready for a dry dry dry summer. I can always water my lawn if need be.

Ron you should take a picture of a map then highlight the route so people can get a look at it? :2thumbs:

I have been trying to do this on goggle maps and have no been successful yet, but your way sounds easier. Roger are you any good with goggle maps
.

Ron I can do this for you if you have a map of the route.....you basically use maps.google.com and do direction......drag the circle to the route you want. Once you have it all set then in the upper right corner you will see a "Link" button....and that is it.

yes just what spyder dude said you can do 1 of 2 things 1 send me or spider dude the route and we will take care of it or show derrick what spyder dude wrote then he can do it.

Wednesday routing

Hopefully Shawn or Roger you can google this up. I'm still looking for a diner between Lake George and Schroon Lake for a starting point. We will head north up 87 to exit 30 and route 9 briefly, then left onto 73 towards Keene. Half way between Keene and Lake Placid will be our first stop at the bobsled run, Mt. Van Hoevenburg. Then on to Lake Placid and a right to 86 north for 12 miles, then left on 431 to the top of White Face Mountain. Now we will back track to Lake Placid staying on 86 south. Approx. 4 miles after Placid we will come to our lunch stop call Tail O' the Pub. Then on to Saranac Lake to Rt.3 south for 21 miles to Rt. 30 south for 34 miles to Rt. 28 East back to Warrensburg. At that point some may want to check the free vendors there. Not sure how late they are open and those that have evening plans can go onto LG. There are a few photo and gas stops along the way that I did not mention.

A little help spyderdude

Ok SPYDERDUDE can you help create the map my hands are not steady enough to keep the line where it needs to be. tried 5 or 6x's Hey Ron if spider dude can't i know ann can do it she does it all the time.

Ok phantom888 on the map where we get off of 87 north and get on 9 we are going to stay straight on Rt 73 to keene after that everything looks good i will check again.:clap:

Phantom888 this is the return part from saranac lake we are going south on rt3 to rt 30 it looks like it comes to a "T" at rte 28 he says he wants to go east but know matter which way we go it comes out the same place i will let him decide that. Me i would go right but it does not matter? thanks for your help in this.

Thanks Phantom, the routing looks great now. Now all I have to do is firm up the starting place.
