• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Alternative to BRP Oil Filter?

Very good point! We just bought all the stuff (from our Can-Am dealer) for my Spyder's 600 miles oil change -- filter, oil, drain plug washers -- and it came to about $96! :yikes: I think my husband was just planning ahead for future oil changes.

Spyder stuff is more expensive than HARLEY!!!

I understand that the newer Aprilias will have the same (larger) filter that the Spyder uses, I know the local Aprilia dealer sells their filters for less than ten bucks, but that's for the old style (small) filters.
I get BRP oil for $11.88/qt, filter for $15, shop around, if there are other BRP dealers close enough, some of them are actually reasonable.
