• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Almost torched the bike! Huge leak in upper right side.

I am always worried about the chance of a fire. Every time I pull into my garage and park, there is a strong odor of gas coming from my spyder. I have looked everything over pretty good and can't find the source of the smell. I have seen others comment on the gas smell. Is this just normal for a spyder?

I have just discovered a couple of days ago when I got my Spyder out to ryde after it sat in the garage for several weeks there was a wide stain on the concrete. I put cardboard under it and today when I pulled it I could tell some type of fluid leaked onto the cardboard. I put it back under and pulled it about 5-10 minutes later and had kind of a green colored droplets on it. Is this similar to what yours was doing?
That is coolant. If your cap is tight (turned to the second detent), see your dealer. ...and check the coolant level before you ride!

hose clamps

recommend using worm clamps designed for fuel injection connections, the clamp's strap wraps in the inside allowing for even pressure. major advantage is that you can tighten as the rubber of the hose shrinks with age. i replace all oetikers at the first sign of seapege. easy check: with engine running and systems pressurized, wiggle hoses and check for seapege.
