• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

alignment issue

Wife has a 2012 RT with elka shocks , been great. Went for a ride last weekend and we lost her said it was shaking real bad. Kinda surprised we lost her I had a 155 scooter and my daughter had my F3S . She said it was fine on the way back, thought it was the road that got her. So the next week she had me take it on the same road to see what it did. It was fine for me but I did get it to shimmy a bit when braking. Then I looked at the air in the rear shocks it was up 3/4. So I lowered it all the way and it was fine no more shimmy. We had it aired up from a long trip and her bike was packed full. Do you think it was that simple or could a alignment prevent this again. She is about 108 lbs me 195. The last ride bikes were m/t other than riders. Jim

Depends..!

If you have never had an alignment it will help no doubt. The rear end hopping can cause some shaking but if the air adjust helped give it some time....

I would tend to think that an alignment issue would cause more consistent issues, more of a pulling to one side, or a push feeling, easy to turn in one direction vs the other...etc.. I've never felt any of those so I haven't had an alignment.

The alignment on a vehicle with 2 front wheels will TOE IN with the rear up high, and will TOE OUT when rear is low
the idea is to have it level front and rear to maintain alignment... the Spyder does not have adjustable CASTER & CAMBER
shacking in the front and or rear can be caused by out of round tires out of round wheels out of round brake rotors
and bad or unbalanced tire and wheel combination.
Go get all this checked out then go ride that same road.
Ride Safe
