• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am looking for a new exhaust I want just a bit more sound and a bit more power but don't want to void my warranty. Will the akrapovic fill the bill, and do I need a fuel injection programmer with it. What about other brands and the warranty issue. Thanks for any help

I know the dealers sell this exhaust straight off their shelf and they told me no programmer needed. I listened to many exhausts on Youtube and really did not care for the Akropovic sound. And at this time neither Juice Box or Power Commander show a product on their websites for our 2013 bike yet.

Exhaust for me is one of those things you have to hear in person to figure if you like it or not.

Absolutely thee first thing I changed out on my ST-S and must say that while it is not that loud, it has a very good sports-car type of sound. Especially if you remove the baffles.

The nice thing is that while you are ryding the sound is quite pleasant. But then, motorcycle exhaust sounds are a very personal thing.

I like the Akrapovic exhaust on mine. I can't prove it, but I swear it has gotten a deeper tone to it with more miles and time on it. When new wasn't much different than stock.

with the change in exhaust, no matter what one you use, you don't need a programmer till you get into changing the intake as well. both changes will make it run leaner, but neither make it a necessity till you change them both.

I have the Touring version and it sounds great, no louder, just a nicer sound and it perked it up a bit too boot.

A lot lighter. I couldn't believe how heavy the stock exhaust was when I took it off. I also like the sound of this exhaust. A little more aggressive but not loud enough to have my neighbors forming a lynch mob.

Akropovic Sport Touring for the ST LTD

Just ordered the Akropovic Sport Touring for the ST LTD that is sitting in my garage with 15 KM on the tacho. I can't drive it until the 1st of March when my registration starts for the motorcycle season here in Bavaria. Does the Akropovic fit exactly along the lines of the OEM exhaust? That is my only concern, as I've got the GIVI saddle bags on the LTD, which come very close to touching the factory exhaust system. Best from Bavaria! Rick :2thumbs:

From the pictures i have seen I would say it is pretty much in the same line, and attaches the same of course. May be a touch shorter depending on sport or touring version.

I have two brothers exhaust on mine.

I have two brothers single exhaust on mine. Wanted dual but I would not been able to use my side bags. the more I ride the better it is sounding. I really am starting to love the sound.

2013 Juicebox fuel controller available

at this time neither Juice Box or Power Commander show a product on their websites for our 2013 bike yet.

Although probably not at the time this was posted it wasn't, but there is now a Juicebox fuel controller for the '13 ST's. As for the Akrapovic, a few guys in our Spyder Ryders of America chapter have 'em and don't care for them...better than the stock can, but not enough bang for the buck as the Akropovic is expensive. I ran TBR for a while, but kept having rivets pop off, so switched to a Leo Vince exhaust and have never been happier. It really is a personal choice...I wanted a throatier, more aggressive sound out of my Spyder and the Leo Vince delivered.20140125_221143.jpg2013 Juicebox.jpg

Just looked up Leo Vince, latest thing on their site for a Can Am is 2011 :(

I have a real nice condition Akrapovic exhaust for an ST for sale if you are interested. I was hoping it would fit on my new RT but they really change the mounting of this and it won't work.

I'd like to have the Akra exhaust, but I think it is really overpriced.

I have a $65,000 car and the top of the line performance mufflers upgrade for it was $750 for dual exhaust.

Why would I want to pay close to that for a single exhaust on a bike?:dontknow:

I think $350-$400 is closer to market for them.
