• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just bought a new 2014 RT spyder limited. It makes squeak sound from front wheels all the time. Service says it is normal, but I am not happy. Can somebody help me on that issue, please! I put 200 miles on it but squeak noise from front wheels the same. took to dealer again. They say everything is good and squeak is normal. I wonder if anybody has same issue or they are plaing game with me.

Are you sure it's coming from the front wheels? It is common for Spyders to have a squeak from the back wheel due to an over tightened or misaligned belt. Sounds like brake pads.

Can you jack it up and try to narrow it down? Otherwise, it's a trip to the dealer for diagnostic work.

I have a '14 and it never squeaked, but my '08 did until I switched brake pads to the EBC brakes and adjusted the belt using the Krikit II method.

:welcome:
A squeaky bike?
the mice are hungry; Feed them! :D
Or... it's either the belt, or the brakes; as KX suggested!

Little checking..!!

if you can lift the front so you can spin the wheels you can see for sure. If you spin the wheel and it sqeaks tap on the calipers and spin again. If it clears up the pads are hagging up a little and can clear up with more miles. You can also clean the disk and pads in case there is brake dust built up. If still present and increasingly noisy take it back to the dealer...

I had some squeaks at first and they went away with a few miles. :congrats: on your new ryde.

All good advice above.

I have a brake squeak in my front wheels. Been there since day 1 and I am also that this is fine and that there is nothing wrong. With 1200 miles on it I would hope this wasn't being caused by brake dust. The spyder stops fine with no issues to report.

I have a brake squeal on my :f_spider: from time to time. There is only 2500 miles on it and I'm hoping it will go away pretty soon...
