• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Afterburner LED and American Flag install? 2022 RT Sea-2-Sky

I want to install the afterburner leds and the large American Flag LED.. The harnesses for the afterburner lite contains the two prong plug from the afterburner lite on each side...Great.

The American Flag is only two bare wires..and I guess will not receive power and ground from the afterburner harness, not tapped into... The American Flag harness has butt connectors for the bare wires..power and ground.

So I guess direct wiring to either harness will not work..for both pieces..

Is the solution wiring the American Flag by tapping power and ground wire, using a back tail light? What color is power and i guess ground is green?

Anyone done this? 2020 and newer the same? Thanks for any help

What no Directions????

:coffee: So no directions came or available for the installation?
WOW .....:banghead:

First thing I do when buying products from the internet or anyone is check out the instructions for installing.

Yes, the green wire is still the negative wire. (97% of the time).

I have now gone to ONLY 'plug and play' Spyder add ons.

Good Luck with Your Mission. ......

Have not received products yet. Just looking at install vids, that is where i got the info on the install and harnesses.

:welcome: Give the products time to arrive and hopefully all your questions will be answered. I know, I know, it's hard waiting for the new stuff to be installed to arrive. The anticipation will kill you.

Okay, so just wait for the package to arrive and go from there. That makes the most sense to me.
Maybe it could be a 'plug and play '.
Wouldn't that be grand? .....

What is an afterburner LED? A link to the product would help us help you.

A quick Google search shows 5-6 volt units for rc model jets. That won't work on a 12v system.

Here is the link for the afterburnerz. We are forum sponsors. We have these installed on our 20+ RT, they look great.

When purchasing the LED Flags from us. https://store.valueaccessories.net/LEDAmericanFlagCan-AMSpyder.aspx You will pick which bike you have. In this case the 20+ RT. We will include an electrical breakout that will plug in series with one of the afterburnz breakouts for plug and play wiring.
That part is very easy, you just need to get access into the back tail lights which we have a video for.

On the Spyders, BLACK is ground.

GREEN (according to the Service Manual) is "Data Communication between modules using a protocol"....so you definitely don't want to mess with that!

The tail lights and the license plate light use ORANGE for power and BLACK for ground.
