Hmm... That is a lot of money for something they won't even dyno.

I can only assume they'll update their website with that info though not all their kits publish HP, etc anyway.

Maybe if they man up and publish the numbers other than price they'll get some real interest. Sorry to come off brash, but everyone has been asking about those numbers since it was first posted here.

$5k is not as bad as some thought it would be though... So that is good news.

I used to drag race ATV's and a friend put a Turbo on a Yamaha Raptor and spent more than $5K on it. The Raptor never ran as fast with the turbo as it did without. It would be really nice to get some track or Dyno time to prove out the added performance for the Spyder kit.

I'll wait this one out until some more people buy them and test them.

For $5K there better be a noticeable improvement --- and one that won't damage the engine.

Otherwise you could do the cams and pistons from Ken for under $3K and have similar results.

They DID dyno it, so saying "Won't" has different meaning. The official and posted dyno numbers will be released in a couple of weeks after final tuning.

Sounds like your buddy did something wrong... I've said before - dont be surprised if you see a 50% to the wheels increase in HP and TQ... but I cant officially quote anything... I was just there for the first dyno test and had 3 weeks of ride/test time on it... Night and day difference.

Does 3K include a Muffler, custom airbox/air filter, WideBand for additional tuning and a fuel controller? That stuff alone is almost 2,000.... So be sure to keep that in mind... not to mention rip and replace of motor vs a couple of hours over a weekend.

Understand--- but I've already got : Hindle, custom airbox, custom filter, fuel tuning and controller (and the lot of them only cost around $800).

I really just want to see more opinions on this from those with them installed - and real road miles on many units before plunking down that kind of $$$.

Any mention of warranty?

Aerocharger has been doing this for a long time. They know how to make HP. The only question is, can the Rotax hold up to the extra pressure????
Only time will tell. Will it survive the long run or will it ...:barf:

The total HP will be 130, not bad.

If it can't, you just threw away your warranty...

130 isn't bad at all...from 110 (with hindle or other 'open' pipe). However, for $5000, that's $250 per single HP...I'd rather put that money into my retirement...

For those who want the fastest Spyder though (SethO out there??), this sounds like the way to go...very nice!

I'm more than happy with the performance of my Spyder as it is...it's always fun to ride and it's faster than most vehicles on the road anyway.

If it's only getting up to 130 HP --- then no way.

I think Ken can get you close to 180 with cams and pistons.

If you're all about the "GO" then this isn't a bad way to spend $5K probably. A turbo kit easily costs that much (and lots more) for a car. This seems like it's reasonably priced. They probably won't sell too many, but that's probably because of the market that owns a Spyder probably doesn't care too much to spend $5K on "GO"... but believe me, if I had that kinda dough to play with I'd consider this for sure. I like lots of GO BABY GO.

Where did you hear that? I can tell you right now thats INACCURATE information. All of you reading and commenting on this forum/thread - dismiss this comment.
I'm pretty sure that was just a guess. So what are the real numbers?

I really thought that sounded low-----

So how about Aerocharger release some real data about this--- firsthand.

While it's great that you come out here and post what you know -- there's nothing better than hearing right from the horses mouth.

If Aerocharger really wants to sell these and dispel rumors---- THEY should create an account out here and post what is really going on-- or better yet they should become a site sponsor and advertise their product - which they are the only ones doing such a thing.

They should be able to post complete Dyno results if they really want to be taken seriously.
