• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Advise re; tire wear

PSI - ENDORSEMENT

3whlLefty,

Had the same problem when I replaced all three tires while in California visiting my sister. Bought three tires from Discount direct, made an appointment and they couldn't balance them because the center hole is too small.

Rode home ~ 3000 miles, absolutely no hop, bounce or imbalance issues. What I did find is that with 26 psi in the rear tire that my bike would hydro planning all over the road!!!!

When I reduced my rear tire pressure to 18 psi all of that went away!!!!!!!!!! This is my second Kumo Estaca (sp) that I've had on the back. I ran the first one @ 24-26 psi and was very unimpressed with it's wet road handling and traction.

As Peter and Blueknight911 have pointed out, ya have to let those sipes work, and the can't do their job properly at the higher pressures most people feel comfortable running.

I would guess that the rear tire has much less than 500 pounds pushing down on the road with just the bikes weight. The driver sits to the forward side of the rear tire so whatever poundage you contribute is not directly over the rear tire.

Just food for thought, but I will never go back to running above 20 psi in any of my tires!!!

Jcthorne,

What size cone do you need and how much does it cost??? For as fast as these bikes run through tires might be a good investment.

Thanks,

I
do not have a part number. The discount tire store manager looked it up in his available tools and equipment listing and ordered it from his corporate source. I paid him his cost for it, was about $40.

Can't agree there. I was out there tugging with them. It is just to narrow. But that 615 fit just fine.

I am currently running a 205 on mine and there was no issue with installing it. A friend of mine installed the same tire in the same size without any mounting issues.

Hard to beleive that a 615 fits your rim let alone between the swing arm
