There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Advice on Performance upgrades

I can not make a direct comparison with anything else but it should be the best set up if money was on object.:D but the cost is very high. You are looking at $1000 plus installation cost for 2nd bung for wideband sensor but it is a one of a kind set up. If you just want the power commander, it's priced about same as jb pro and made by same company and very similar but I don't think you can add wideband 2 module nor LCD to jb pro. Continous auto adjusting to changing condition with wideband2 or auto-tune is a big plus.

Oh by the way, it seems dynojet has the problem with o2 sensor figured out now. The new one has been on my spyder for 4 weeks now and no fault lights so may be pc for spyder is right on the horizon.
Thanks for the explanation, one more question....What advantages does the dynojet 02 sensor have over the Evol. 02 mod., if any. I take it they are somewhat similar in what they accomplish.

Not at all.

The evoluzione O2 eliminator (that's what it is... it eliminates the one O2 sensor altogether) just "tricks" the bike's ECU into thinking the low-speed fueling is not what it actually is... and enriches it at low RPM only.

The Dynojet, with wide-band O2 sensors, actually measures the fuel mix incrementally throughout the entire power band and makes adjustments automatically to maintain the correct air/fuel ratio.

Just be prepared to learn a lot about fuel mapping-- and a lot of trial and error in programming the JB Pro... whereas the O2 mod is plug and PLAY....

But a device like the JB pro should be great in the long run as long as you know what yer doing or can download maps made for your setup.

I decided I'm waiting on the JB pro or Power Commander until there's a good, easy way to monitor the real results other than just seat of the pants.

I am going the simple way with the O2 modifier and JB instead of the JB Pro until there is enough time for more maps to be created for different setups. This thread has been very helpful especially coming to the realization I would be over my head with the JB Pro.

Go with the jb pro!!! At least, if you can't wait for PC.
There are few maps out already and you can use maps from both dynojet and two bros.
Tech from dynojet said you will be fine with maps with similar mods so you really don't have do your own mapping. After you are more familiar with it, you can play with it thou. Having multiple maps are good also, like one for normal riding, aggressive and fuel saving map for long trips.

If you feel like you need something that just bolts on no input at your end, that gadget on eBay that manipulates ambient temp to feed more fuel will work great and it's only like 70 bucks(it's so simple it really should be cheaper thou...). just turn the temp up for less fuel and down for more. I had this with evo's o2 module and it worked good.

Very good explanation.
If you were just to get power commander, it will come with this o2 sensor controller. It is an inline module that has a small plastic box that holds the electronics to make adjustment to your air to fuel ratio.

Went with the Evo O2 modifier, Performance filter, and Swaybar not luck on the evo Racing airflow system apparently low demand has stopped production of the system. Hindle in Friday, Evo stuff Monday.

AKA - I hear ya and that is how I would normally justify the JB Pro but I figure when that time comes I will be able to get back most of my money either on Ebay, a Rally or at the Festivus for the Rest of us. When I am ready to make that purchase.

Air filters

Install a Chrysler 4 cylinder Dart or Phantom air filter and save a bundle. They are the same size and work wonders. Arthur---Mexico City

I ordered a Hindle that should be in this week and I am thinking of a new air filter but have read on a couple of threads to get a JB which will optimize the performance between the air filter and the exhaust. So I am wondering if the Evoluzione o2 modifier will work instead of the JB? It is my understanding the the o2 modifier modifies ECU while the JB does the same but it has more that one map for different conditions.

You should be very pleased with the results of that set up. I am running the K&N filter, in the stock airbox, with the Hindle and O2 modifier and performance is great in all areas for my Spyder. If you do happen to find a race air intake, then I believe the addition of a JB or PC will become necessary as you will be sucking in even more air.
