• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Advice on dps issue

I had my spyder in for repair as the result of being rear ended. All repairs were completed and when I tried to ride it home, the steering kept hanging up and did not want to let me steer it to the left, while taking curves. It would let me make slow left turns.

When we got back to the dealer they put it on bubs and no faults came up. The tech then reset all parameters and rode the spyder and had no issues.

I left the spyder for them to check further. Could the problem have been a sensor issue or is this the dps problem. Any advice would be appreciated. The spyder only has 3300 miles on it.

Thanks

They may did the DPS updates incorrectly and they fix that.

You will have to keep a good eye on this one.
From what I have been reading, if the problem with the DPS does not show up as a fault then you are not covered to change the DPS if its at fault, even though it might not be steering properly when you drive.
I am not sure if there is a solution to your problem at this point, guess you got to work with the dealer, but keep sending it back if there are steering issues would be my advice.
My steering locked up once, bought a DPS and got it installed and now no problems. At 3300 miles it should not be a problem.
Be patient if you are under warranty and work with it.

Yes definitely keep an eye on this one... my dps failed completely and yet I had no codes come up at all. They ended up replacing the dps and some sensors on mine to get it back on the road again. Mine happened at 6000 miles and after all the updates... so be careful!
