• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Adhesive Residue

I removed some graphics (stickers or decals) off my RT's saddle bags. What is the best stuff to use to remove the glue residue without damaging the paint? :dontknow:

Many....

But if you don't go for the specific ones WD40 is your best bet. And it smells way better,,,,:roflblack:

Goo Be Gone has acetone in it.... It will work on chrome and metal but for sure I would not use it on the plastic windshield. Might be OK on the paint but test it somewhere you won't notice first.

AND ALSO !

All the removal schemes are okay. But... whatever you use, and no one else addressed this yet,
NEUTRALIZE after use. Have a bucket of soapy water and a mitt or whatever, and just the second
the adhesive is gone wash the heck out of the entire area.

I used WD-40 and a credit card. Sprayed on let sit for about 10 seconds, used card to scrape up the glue and it came right off. I washed it with soap and water afterwards. Thanks for all the suggestions and this forum. :ohyea:

Goo gone. I've used it for years with no issues. Works great. After I use it I normally wash the area then use some kind polish or wax
