• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Adding cigarette lighter plug to Teardrop trailer

I have a teardrop trailer to pull behind my CanAm Spyder RT. I am thinking of buying a 12Volt cooler to use in it for our trip this summer. Can I connect the outlet to the existing wiring? The coolers pull like 3 to 4 amps. I’m not sure about the wiring like can I connect it to the ground and the brake light wires. The trailer harness is direct wired to the battery. The trailer harness is the system that is protected separately from the Motorcycle. Any help from the wiring geniuses will be appreciated.

3 to 4 amps ..... You can get a HD 12v cig lighter from any Auto parts store ..... I wouldn't advise using the lighting wiring from your car or truck .... Just run some 12-14 ga. wire directly to the battery in the vehicle from the lighter ..... I would add a separate fuse for that line ..... jmho .... Mike

Might try a separate system so no problems. A separate battery that stays on trailer (with a solar maintainer) & the cig lighter ,maybe some Leds:dontknow: Lot depends on storage space & proper ventilation for battery :thumbup.
