• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Adding Belt Tensioners

Just a quick question. Do the belt Tensioners sold by one of our venders reduce vibrations in the RS a little or a lot? I have a specific range where the vibes drive me and my old hands nuts. This usually occurs just before I shift up around 4,000 to 4,500 rpm. Any thoughts?

Adding belt tensioners

I have 27,000 + miles on my '08 RS. I have done everything possible to improve performance. JuiceBox Pro,Leo Vince slip-on, canisterectomy,Evoluzione sway bar and air filter and the single best thing I did was to install the tensioner. I have had vibration and a noisy belt from day one. I have adjusted the belt using a Krikit to every tension possible. I could either get rid of the howl by loosening and causing a worse vibration. Or I could tighten to reduce the vibration and deal with the loud howl at 20-25 mph. The tensioner has eliminated both problems. Jim makes a first class product and it is well finished. My 2 cents.

Thanks all. It's really great to have all of this experience on call. The vibrations that I get are only at a certain point in the rpm's usually just between shift points. This sounds like all of the other folks who are now happy with the tensioner. Soo off to the pay pal.:2thumbs:
