• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

adding a fuel cell

Anybody added fuel cell to there RT slider? Need to have a range of 400 + miles. On my Honda ST1300 had a plug on the top of the tank could tap into for gravity fed cell. Plan on running a tail dragger for the spider.

Check our Mr. Orange in the members list.

Yeah..!!

don't remember who, maybe like akspyderman mentioned mr orange, put one in the frunk. Looked great perfect fit but not sure on the range. If you have the 14/15 RT might work out nicely. Might be a question on the weight of the fuel...:dontknow:

Welcome JR! I bet I know you! Let's plan a IBA in Alabama.

FWIW, if you plan to gravity feed while riding I believe you will have a problem with the Spyder fuel system design.

Here's why, the oem fuel cap has no vents and the tank vent system is electronically controller.

You may be able to fabricate and adapter to place between the vent valve and tank to allow fuel in, but there is no guarantee the lack of an open vent system will allow flow.

If I were designing this, I would obtain a second fuel cap. A BRP non vented cap. In the cap I would install two of the common fuel line quick disconnect. Better yet would be to spend more and get the disconnects that seal when disconnected if possible.

I would then run these two hoses from the modified fuel cap into your aux tank.

Not sure of your total plan, but if you have a seat with a fuel door, you could place the aux tank crossfeed valve under the seats door and shuttle fuel without stopping.

If you do run an aux tank in the frunk, it will not gravity feed. You could get a small 12 volt fuel pump to move the fuel into the main tank.

The key to all of this is the second hose. The main tank needs to be venting while fuel is transferred.

Mr Orange stuffed a fuel cell into the Frunk of his RS...
Mr Orange and his posts appear to no longer exist on SL. I found a link to his thread and it ends up with an invalid link. Also his name doesn't come up when I enter orange into the user box on the search page.
