• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

ADDED RED LED's TO THE MIRRORS FOR DIRECTIONALS

Twas a beautiful day here in the Poconos. Took a nice long ride in the bright sun and got tired of not being able to see the green arrows on the "dash" of the RT, especially with sun glasses on. Stopped at Radio Shack and got a couple of mounted LED's and installed them tonight. They look good and they are small but bright enough to see. I have a couple of pics and the P/N for the LED's Took about 1.5 hours to install with a total cost of $6.35.:doorag:1394331348281.jpg1394331829697.jpg1394331850338.jpg

Subtle; yet effective... :firstplace:
I'll need to add some extra lights to my mirrors as well... I like your solution!

Looks good. Did you have to pull the mirrors apart to install them?
No, other than removing them from the bike. I drilled the hole 21/64" and fished a piece of weed trimmer line up to where the directional wires come out with the plug. It didn't damage anything and is quite flexible. Taped the wires to the trim line and pulled them through. The LED's have 6" leads on them. That was the longest process. Be patient the line does work it's way up if you keep twisting and turning. lol

I can attest to that...
The first mirror of mine took over an hour and a half to find where the wiring was hiding, as I stuffed it into the mirror housing... :gaah:
The second one: a mere fifteen minutes! :D
