• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is everyone's status on accessories?

I'm still waiting on:
Akropovik Exhaust
Aux Lights
USB Power Socket
Driver Backrest
Passenger Backrest
Heated Grips

What I've gotten:
Black Stripes
Gauge Spoiler
Route 129 Windshield

My dealer just informed me that there was a design flaw with the brackets for the saddlebags which caused contact with the tire. ETA unknown.

im still waiting on my passenger backrest.

Thats kind of funny if thats the case...
I mean, I'm assuming the brackets were designed in house by BRP....and BRP has the full blown CAD file for the entire Spyder....
and most CAD systems at that level allow for testing of movement and looking for interference.....

How the hell did they miss that?

I still say, use the same mounting system but design bags 3x larger and I'll buy them.... they are half the size of the Givi bags on the RS, and I found those just slightly small. They advertised they could fit a helmet but they would never close around mine.

I know Corbin is coming out with bags, but their other bags aren't removable...

Should be soon...

Dealer said (a few weeks ago) that both the auxiliary lights and the driver's backrest should be in next week.
The saddlebags, however, will be April 24th (the latest update).

Accessories

My Accesories List is dependant on R&D right now:

- Mastad Windshield
- Corbin Saddlebags
- License plate relocation (custom)
- LED fog lights (not sure which yet)

Everything on hold?

The parts manager at my dealer told me today that he has been informed that due to shipping/port problems, BRP is now saying that they have no estimate delivery date for any accessories.

Anybody heard anything like this?

:dontknow:

Half of them

I have, for more than a month:
blue ridge windshield
heated grip
USB
Auxillary lights
navigation system

waiting for floorboard, saddlebags, backrest.

one of our Spyder ryders got her backrest last week. That is good news....

Aftermarket to the Rescue

I think for many the aftermarket alternatives might turn out to be better choices. The saddlebags are a good example. You can get bigger and possibly better ones from aftermarket makers and vendors. Same thing for the windshields. If you're over 5 feet tall you'll need to either modify the BRP windscreen or buy an aftermarket one that's either taller or adjustable. The same could be said of many other items like floorboards or lighting, horns you name it. Sometimes the OEM offerings come up a little short for some of us.

NOTHING

ALL MY OPTIONS ARRIVED AND HAVE BEEN INSTALLED ON MY NEW F3-S.... :ohyea:

If the size and style of the factory option fits your needs and the price doesn't bother you then the aftermarkets just might not be that much of a "better choice".
