• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Accessory Pouch/Bag

Does anyone know where I can find a small accessory bag/pouch to put on or close my handlebars? I need something just big enough to put my garage door opener in. It's a real headache getting off the bike to go enter my code on my keypad...lol. Thanks for any help!!

Following Deb's lead (dltang), I and others simply bought the key chain version of our garage door opener and used super velcro pads to secure it on the underside of the handlebar plate. It is out of sight, but still convenient to use.

you can pot a pouch on hadle bar by key and strap it there i have on holds a pack of smokes don't smoke anymore it was on my tank before .

Andy,

I have the BRP tank bag which has a clear plastic map pouch on top. I slid a small keychain type opener in there. A cheaper solution for the handlebars is to get a good quaility weatherproof fanny pack and spread it across the handlebars. I have 4 inch risers so I have it clipped aroud those. It is removeable if need be. If you dont need a place for extra, easy to reach storage for cigs, glasses, etc, then the easiest solution is Debs velcro trick.

:agree: depending on how much "extra" stuff you may want to carry, the BRP tank bag is nice; however, you may also want to check out the Nelson-Rigg one.

Yes, the BRP bag is a little bit of a pain to install and is really only one compartment. The NR bag seems like a nicer setup, I might have gone that way myself had I known about the NR bag. I gotta say tho, the BRB bag has held up to a lot of abuse. Not only has it gotten rain soaked a few times over the last year, but a few times it was holding my girls dog. And then there is my belly pushing into it for the last 15 thousand miles. After all that, it is still holding up well.

I use a small bum bag with a key fob on the zipper. opens right up for easy access to the remote and other vital bits and bobs.
