Accessories for 2012 ST?!?

OK, so I'm a new Can-Am Spyder owner but not new to motor sports. I love performing my own upgrades and was told that the ST was a new for 2013 model and that if a product says it's for an ST then I'm set. I ordered the R-35 saddlebags and saw there were 2 models so of course I ordered the cheaper model 219400301 from Ebay. Before ordering I verified they were compatible with ST on BRP's website: "Spyder RS 2012 and prior, Spyder ST" which can be interpreted several different ways, but I took it to mean it will fit any ST and only 2012 and prior RS models. During the installation I discovered the brackets weren't compatible with my 2013 Can-Am Spyder ST and was informed they were made for the 2012 ST. Now I need to make a 5 hour round trip to exchange them in person for model 219400351. Did everyone else know there was a limited run of 2012 ST models?

never heard of a 2012 st... they're new for the 2013 model year. Some of them may have been produced in 2012 of course, but they would be labeled 2013's.

All of the 2013's RS and ST use different brackets for the BRP bags. It's unfortunate that you can't just swap bags when upgrading from a 2012 or older RS/GS.

Aren't the bags the same? Isn't it just the frame/mounting hardware that is different?

I believe you are correct. But you cannot order the brackets separate.
