• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

ABS or Polypropylene

Does anyone know for sure if the dash trim panel around the gauges is either ABS or PP? I have examined it very closely and cannot tell which it is. Usually, the type is molded into the back with the ID of the type.

Hoping so....I have secured primer, Cognac Paint, and clear coat and want to repaint the side bag covers (awful factory job) as well as the dash trim panel.....tried to paint Poly-p in the past with not so good results.

I have painted two dash surrounds with Great success ( Look at Deanna777 's Cognac dash , it's on all Her posts ) …. The surfaces were not smooth but I didn't sand them the paint filled in very nicely ….. Her " Cognac " paint wasn't from BRP …. I found a match in VHT burnt copper ( spray can or pints/quarts ) …. It is a high heat paint that MUST have a plastic paint primer before you can use it about $12.50 per 12-14 oz. ...I think the paint codes was SP 402 , PM me id you plan touse it …… Mike :ohyea:
