• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

AAA Anyone?

I have had for many years and used several times.
Once, keys locked in trunk of truck. (yes trunk of TRUCK. I have Honda Ridgeline)
Once truck stuck in back yard of neighbor getting a load of firewood. (driver indicated they were not supposed to pull a vehicle stuck "off road" but he did it anyway at no extra charge.
Twice for daughters car stranded.
Every time very responsive and well worth the cost of membership.
Not had to use yet for Spyder!!!

Thanks everyone for your info. I decided to take them up on the latest offer of 14 months for $66.00 and spouse first year free. Added the $35.00 for motorcycle coverage too. You guys rock as usual.:firstplace:

Standard road service does not cover motorcycles. Yoyu need the RV coverage...at least in Michigan. Read the fine print.

So true. John blew his clutch in Silverton and tow bill to Durango was $220. Neither AAA nor State Farm would cover. If he had had BEST the towing would be covered.:banghead: Guess what he bought when we got back from Durango:duh:

I've had good results on several occasions in California, but what some of these folks are reporting from other states got my attention.

You have to have AAA Plus RV to have the Spyder, or any other MC, towed. There are other companies for towing but make sure the one you choose will suit your needs. AAA tows up to 100 miles, most don't, and they offer many other option others do not. We've had AAA Plus for years and, thank goodness, have only had to use it once for our MC and that was in Las Vegas. Police were great (a biker himself) and the tow truck driver was awesome. Also, make sure when you call a tow company, ask if they tow motorcycles, some don't. That's when you run into problems. We've had Allstate for many years but carry AAA towing because they offer better coverage.

Good Sam

I have the Good Sam coverage and for one price it covers ALL your vehicles. It doesn't have a 100 mile tow limit either. It says it will tow to the nearest authorized service center, which could be more than 100 miles to the nearest Spyder dealer. I believe it is $79.95 for the first year and then probably goes up a little. I know if you buy just the RV road side assistance it does NOT cover your MC.

Actually you do not have to have more than the classic plan to add motorcycle coverage. I don't know if is different in Michigan but when signing up on the website I bought the classic plan and added the motorcycle coverage for an additional $35.00 per year. Apparently they offer roadside service in FL, GA western TN and PR too. Maybe they only offer it on the classic plans in those areas? Here is the info direct from the website as you can see it mentions all 3 plans:
