• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A tip for making your radio sound louder.

I have seen some posts from owners about their dislike for the sound system on the Spyder RT-L. Mostly some saying it’s not loud enough, so here is what I have done.

I have Sirius XM on my phone, so I play my music from my phone to the radio. I also have 500 mp3 files on the memory card in the phone.

I went into my phone's sound settings (different models/brands phones will have different ways to adjust this) but I found the EQUALIZER settings, and slid them all the way up. I also make sure the medial volume is all the way up, and for me, I now have great volume at highway speeds.

This riding season I will be using a separate cell phone that has no service to play my music, so my notifications do not interrupt the music.

Hope this helps out… Ride Safe!

Just checking on what cell phone you're using. So Apple or Android based. I have an old Android phone that I am going to try.

This works incredibly well, I have an older Android phone that I use for an MP3 player on the bike. It does not have a native MP3 player and I downloaded an app to play my songs. I was afraid that this method might not work with a downloaded app, but I maxed out the equalizer settings in the app and basically doubled the sound output. Finally, I don't have to max out the bike's volume setting in order to hear, or barely hear, my tunes. The new bike setting is now basically in the mid range and even there, it's much louder than before. Thanks, for the tip.

No problem, I posted another thread and saw your question... can't figure out why I DO NOT receive emails when someone replies to my posts.

I haven't gone digging thru your profile to check, but have you set that up in your Profile (click on your username up toward the top right of the page) by selecting the light grey 'Preferences' in the note under 'Email options:' then checking the appropriate boxes under 'Content options:'?? Oh, and you might want to check that your email address is current and correct while you're in there.

Many members just check the 'Email options:' boxes, thinking that is all they need to do, but that won't get you any notification emails for any POSTS in threads you've started or replies to any posts you might make, it's just for the newsletters & publicity stuff (there's never much of that, if any!) &/or the Activity summary that lists everything posted since you last logged on, which you'll get anyway if you log on and click 'What's New'!

But to get those notifications on posts in threads you've started & replies to posts you've put up, etc, you need to go to 'Content options:' and then check the 'Automatically watch content you create…' AND the 'and receive email notifications' boxes, &/or the 'Automatically watch content you interact with…' AND the 'and receive email notifications' boxes, and you might even need to Subscribe to &/or Follow any threads &/or members you wish to see all posts in/from if you weren't the originator of those threads too. (y)

Very few of these sorts of settings transferred across from the old platform to the new platform when we upgraded platforms to something more supportable in the beginning of 2025. So if you were around before then and had all that set up, but you haven't set it up in your profile on this platform, you'll need to go into your profile and check all of the necessary boxes before it can happen now that we're running on a different platform/using different software, profiles, & protocols. DM me or any other Mod if you need a hand, and we'll try to help. ;)

Good Luck! 😁
