• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A thread about a Spyder that really did overheat... your thoughts please...

That airbox is ridiculously too big. I'm done with dealing with it. I'm seriously looking at that KM setup and might bite the bullet and make the change. I'll just put the green filter in mine into the hubby's.

That KM setup should sound awesome with the Hindle. :2thumbs:

Here is a video of the KM installation:

Make sure you cover / stuff the throttle bodies' "mouths" with clean rags, just in case something drops in there while you are at it (Murphy lives...). :(

Whatever tool you need (can't remember what did I use) to unscrew / unbolt the old airbox and screw / bolt in the KM arrangement, it need to be a short one, as you will have interference with the frame's upper section.

If you go this route I suggest you put a light film of black qasket maker between the new setup and throttle body as it doesn't come with a gasket.

I was one of the Spyders with you on your Sedona run and I believe you never even noticed the difference of my setup as opposed to everyone else, sound wise....I think your going to like sound of the pipe and intake.

:agree: That's what they recommend on the video, although it is not mentioned in the instructions.

Thank you all. I have heard what the Evo intake sounds like, a local riding buddy of mine has one on his Spyder. It's nice.

So I got the new thermostat housing in and started her up and discovered that the leak is at the connector up on the side of the motor. New part should be here tomorrow or Wednesday.

I am also taking the time to install the Eastern Beaver PC-8 and re-do all the wiring. The Spyder is stripped down.
